Creamos is a Guatemalan NGO that promotes opportunities for women living in the communities surrounding the Guatemala City Garbage Dump to improve their lives through income-generating and welfare initiatives that foster self-esteem, physical health and financial independence. The entrepreneurial savviness, persistent effort, and optimistic spirit of these artisans have carried them through harrowing experiences. Their heroism is best understood in the context of their lives.

Guatemala City has the dubious honor of housing the largest dump in Central America. Work in all sectors related to waste and recycling has shaped the surrounding communities and economies.
